For the week of May 14th students are talking about a variety of topics that deal with either health issues or driver's ed issues. Videos are being shown that support topics discussed.
For the week of May 1st, students are working in chapter 12...Physical Activity and Exercise. Videos and lectures will supplement, this unit. Open book test will be friday.
For the week of April 16th students are working on our unit that deals with eating disorders. Lectures and videos hopefully make students aware that there are many eating disorders out there. Emphasis is also placed on how to get someone help, if they are dealing with a disorder.
For the week of March 27th students are working on our Nutrition unit. Emphasis will be placed on understanding what you consume and how much you excercise has a direct impact on weight control and your health.
Test will be on Friday.
For the week of March 12th students are working on our Stress Unit. Open book will test will be Friday. Videos throughout the week to compliment the unit.
For the week of March 19th students are in pe and participating in our Archery unit.
For the week of February 27th, students are working in the computer lab, finding used, new and dream cars.
Thursday they will present their cars to the class.
No school friday.
For the week of February 13th, students are going to a YOVASO assembly on Monday. Tuesday - Thursday they are working on Module 10, that deals with the types of insurance you can get on your car. Test will be Friday on this module.
For the week of January 16th, students are taking their Driver's ed exam. For thursday and friday of this week we will be going over the National Driving Test, Part 2 via the Powerpoint.
For the week of January 23rd we will be continuing with our unit on volleyball and the round robin tournament.
For the week on January 2nd, we are working on Module 9. Lectures and videos will compliment this unit.
Students will have a driver's ed exam and we are reviewing for it this week. Module 9 test will be friday.
For the week of December 5th, students are working from the Drive Right book. You are to answer section review questions, and take the test at end of each chapter that is asigned.
For the week of November 14th, students are working on Module 7, alcohol and driving. Notes, lecture and powerpoint will accompany this module. On wednesday, students will have the opportunity to experience the "seat belt convincer".
Test on module 7 will be friday.
For the week of October 31st, students will be working on Module 6....Highway driving. Lectures, powerpoint and videos will complement this module. Also, this week we will have the "No Zone" tractor trailer at the bus loop. Students will get to sit in the cab and see what the driver sees or in this case, what he can't see. Cars will be set up all around the trailer, and students will see that if your car is in particular spots, the driver of the tractor trailer can't see you. Test on Module 6 will be friday.
For the week of October 17th, students are working on Module 5, dealing mostly with controlled and uncontrolled intersections. Powerpoint and discussion, and some book work will compliment this module. Test on this module will be friday. Don't forget to turn in your permission forms for the seat belt convincer and other golf cart activities.
For the week of October 3rd, students are working on Module 4. Lectures will accompany this module. TEST THIS WEEK WILL BE THURSDAY. On friday, students will get to drive golf carts thru the course, and will get to parallel park the cart.
For the week of September 25th, students will be in pe, engaged in lacrosse, speed ball, and soccer.
For the week of September 18th students are working on Module 3. Lectures, Powerpoint, and videos will compliment this module. Test on Mod. 3 will be friday.
Officer Hilbish will be in class, thursday to answer questions that pertain to driving and the law.
For the week of August 29th, students are in pe.
Activities for the week are, touch football for the boys, tennis for the ladies.
For the week of September 6th, students are working on Module 2. Lectures and videos will compliment this module.
Test on module 2 will be on friday.
For the week of August 22nd, students are in the classroom. Module 1 of driver's ed. will be taught this week. This module covers organ donation, requirements for getting your license, railroad crossings and intersections. Each friday we have a test that covers the module we discussed.
